Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
